Position Overview
As a Full-Time Scheduling Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for caregivers, clients, and families during business hours. You will ensure that all shifts are filled, respond to real-time staffing needs, and provide compassionate support to patients, families, and care teams. This position requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a warm, empathetic approach to day-to-day challenges.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Manage Daily Schedules – Maintain accurate schedules for hospice and private caregiving staff, ensuring all shifts are covered and care remains uninterrupted.
✔ Handle Staffing Requests – Respond to call-outs, same-day needs, and last-minute schedule changes in a timely and efficient manner.
✔ Communicate with Clients & Caregivers – Serve as a key point of contact for caregivers, clients, and families, providing support and guidance with professionalism and empathy.
✔ Problem-Solve & Prioritize – Address scheduling conflicts with urgency and compassion, ensuring patients continue receiving consistent care.
✔ Document & Report – Accurately document changes, staffing adjustments, and key communications. Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate timekeeping.
✔ Ensure Compliance & Confidentiality – Follow HIPAA regulations and adhere to all state and federal guidelines related to hospice and private care services.
What We’re Looking For
✔ High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred)
✔ Previous experience in healthcare scheduling or staffing (preferred)
✔ Strong organizational and time-management skills
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
✔ Calm, compassionate demeanor under pressure
✔ Familiarity with Microsoft Office and scheduling systems
✔ Knowledge of hospice or private caregiving services is a plus!
