Luna Data Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Technology Project Manager for a contract position worked onsite in Austin, TX. if selected, you will lead large-scale, mission-critical technology initiatives across enterprise and public-sector environments. This role requires a seasoned leader with deep technical fluency in network infrastructure, VoIP and unified communications, contact center technologies, managed services, and cloud platforms. You will drive cross-functional project delivery from inception through operational transition while communicating effectively at both executive and engineering levels.

Description of Duties
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects including network modernization, VoIP/UC deployments, contact center implementations, managed services onboarding, and cloud migrations.
- Build and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
- Ensure delivery against scope, timeline, quality, and compliance requirements.
- Oversee deployment, cutovers, go-lives, and transition-to-operations activities.
Stakeholder & Customer Management
- Act as the primary liaison for customers, executive leadership, vendors, and internal engineering teams.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused communication.
- Facilitate steering committees, project reviews, and executive briefings.
- Set and manage expectations while proactively addressing escalations.
Technical & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate cross-functional engineering work across network operations, cloud, security, service delivery, and third-party vendors.
- Manage dependencies involving WAN/LAN, wireless networks, SIP/VoIP, contact center applications (Genesys, Cisco, AWS, Google, Microsoft), and cloud services.
- Ensure smooth operational handoff to NOC, SOC, service desk, and managed services teams.
Risk, Issue & Change Management
- Identify and mitigate risks, technical blockers, and resource conflicts.
- Manage formal change control processes and support contract/SOW alignment.
- Drive issue resolution and lead root-cause analysis for delivery challenges.
Governance, Compliance & Documentation
- Enforce governance frameworks including Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches.
- Maintain documentation such as project charters, SOWs, RAID logs, and acceptance criteria.
- Support compliance with government, healthcare, financial, or security regulations.
Required Experience
- 8–12 years of project management experience leading complex technology programs.
- Proven success managing projects involving:
- Network infrastructure (WAN, LAN, wireless, routing, switching)
- VoIP/Unified Communications (Cisco, Microsoft Teams, Webex, SIP)
- Contact center solutions (Genesys, cloud contact center platforms)
- Cloud migrations (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Managed services transitions
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT, telecom, and cloud architectures.
- Skilled at managing multi-vendor environments and cross-functional technical teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
- Strong financial acumen (budgets, forecasting, cost control).
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving, high-stakes environments.
Preferred Certifications
- PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification
- ITIL Foundation or higher
- Agile/Scrum certification
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience preferred.
