Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
This position is Part-Time 3-20 hours per week depending on season. During the normal school year, the average hours worked for the After-School program are 2-3 hours per week depending on responsibilities assigned and may be higher depending on growth of the program and need. During the Summer, the average hours worked are typically 10-20 but could be higher during weeks that have fields trips.

Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, implementing, and supervising engaging activities for children ages K through 12 including STEAHM-based activities including Science, Technology/Trades, Engineering, Art/Allied Health, Humanities, Math/Medicine, etc., arts and crafts, sports, academic enrichment, and homework assistance.
- Assist with creating a positive and inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and personal growth.
- Assists with monitoring and ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants during program hours.
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop and maintain a structured schedule and program activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and any concerns.
- Assists with maintaining accurate records of attendance, incidents, and program activities.
- Assist in the organization of special events and field trips.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
- Previous experience in an After-school program, childcare, or educational setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Background check clearance.
- Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
- Physical activity in relation to children’s sports and activity
- Handy with basic tools (or willing to learn) such as electric drill, hammer, shovel, etc. for gardening project etc.
