Position Overview
The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction, and maintaining a positive, productive work environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hospitality, enjoys problem‑solving, and is ready to take the next step in hotel leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services
- Lead, train, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service
- Monitor guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Support hiring, scheduling, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety protocols, and operational procedures
- Help manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Oversee inventory, supplies, and vendor relationships
- Step in as acting General Manager when needed
Qualifications
- Previous hotel supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of hotel operations and property management systems (PMS) a plus
- Availability to work a flexible schedule
