Job Overview:
The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for managing, deploying, supporting and maintaining Luminate Broadband's ISP and OSP network assets, support systems, employees, customers and vendors. This position is also responsible for assisting in establishing, supporting and executing on the long-term vision and strategy for operations. This includes providing support and supervision, implementing processes, establishing KPI's and reviews for supervisors, technicians, engineers, construction crews (internal) and GIS mapping.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
- Provide clear direction and oversight to direct and indirect reports to deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Responsible for all aspects of OSP, ISP, Mapping and Engineering, and Warehouse including department organization, staffing, employee development, records, short and long-range planning
- Manage, train and provide clear oversight related to the installation and repair of the ISP and OSP equipment, fiber, and VoIP networks
- Provide oversight and training of warehouse material procurement and inventory management, including issuing requisitions, receiving and issuing materials, labeling, and stocking shelves
- Assist in the development of OPEX and CAPEX budgets and maintaining fiduciary responsibility in meeting financial goals and objectives
- Provide timely and accurate analysis of department budgets within assigned area(s) of responsibility, consider project proposals and business trends
- Creates, maintains, and enforces standards and procedures for implementing technical solutions to ensure consistency and sustainability of those solutions
- Establishes and maintains procedures, processes and timelines that promote the efficient attainment of work goals and objectives within the work group
- Responsible for coordination and resource allocation of assigned projects and ensuring proper technology planning, scheduling, and implementation are completed timely and accurately
- Responsible for active participation in the strategic planning process as a member of the management team by providing support of company initiatives, maintaining confidentiality, taking initiative to propose policies and programs that contribute to the company's success, and accepting accountability for participation.
- Required to set a positive leadership example through demonstrated and timely performance
- Implement training programs, mentor, coach, develop, discipline and provide corrective action as necessary
- Responsible for the health, welfare and safety of assigned direct reports
- Oversee and ensure proper maintenance of assigned fleet vehicles
- Research and develop new products and services in collaboration with other members of the leadership team
- In concert with leadership peers, develop progressive and proactive programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards to enhance employee satisfaction and overall performance
- Consider regulatory changes affecting revenue requirements
- Promptly respond to customer needs and complaints which could affect the reputation of the company
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
To perform the Plant Operations Manager role successfully, an individual should have the following education, competencies, and experience:
- 5 or more years of supervisory experience
- Bachelor's degree or keen and proven understanding of FTTH and fixed wireless broadband networks
- Ability for strategic planning with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgement and strong operational focus
- Ability to assign and delegate work, problem solve, coach and counsel, answer questions and evaluate results of performance
- Ability to manage a diverse range of administrative areas of responsibility
- A minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- Advanced experience with NISC (Preferred)
- Advanced experience with Calix (Preferred)
Candidates must pass a drug screen, excluding THC.
Salary : $111,368 - $139,250
