What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Perception engineer position at Lumicity?
Lumicity is partnered with a robotics start up in Boston Massachusetts. Looking for a Lead Perception Engineer, who own end to end ownership of projects. Expertise across robotics, computer vision and machine learning. Fully hands-on leadership, ML/computer vision development, and building scalable autonomous systems
Requirements:
- 8–10 years of experience in robotics, computer vision, or related software engineering fields
- 2–3 years of technical leadership or team lead experience
- Strong experience with robotics perception systems and sensor fusion
- Experience with LiDAR, stereo vision, time-of-flight cameras, and 3D reconstruction
- Production-level coding experience in Python, C , and/or Rust
- Experience with PyTorch, OpenCV, PCL, Open3D, and CUDA
- Knowledge of perception pipeline architecture and real-time systems
- Experience developing robotic or automation vision solutions
- ROS2 experience preferred
- Master’s or PhD preferred in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Vision, or related field
