What you'll be doing:
- Preparing accurate estimates and competitive bids for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop detailed quantity take-offs.
- Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Working closely with preconstruction, operations, and project management teams to develop winning proposals.
- Identifying value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
- Supporting bid presentations, budgets, and project handovers to the operations team.
What my client is looking for:
- Experience estimating heavy civil and/or water/wastewater construction projects.
- Strong understanding of treatment plants, underground utilities, pipelines, pump stations, or related infrastructure.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience with estimating software and quantity take-off tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A team-oriented mindset with a desire to build a long-term career with a nationally recognized contractor.
