Glazing Estimator
Location: Florida, USA
Company Overview:
My client is a leader in the commercial glass and glazing industry, recognized for delivering high-quality storefronts, curtainwalls, unitized systems, and complex façade solutions. They are seeking an experienced Estimator to support their preconstruction efforts and contribute to winning and accurately pricing commercial glazing projects across South Florida.
Job Summary:
As a Glazing Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial glazing projects ranging from storefront systems to large-scale curtainwall packages. You will analyze project drawings, perform detailed takeoffs, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and ensure estimates align with company standards, market conditions, and project requirements.
Qualifications:
• 5–10 years of experience in estimating within the commercial glazing industry
• Proficient in TRUE Project Management Software, PartnerPak Studio, and Bluebeam Studio
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for estimating, cost tracking, and data analysis
• Solid understanding of glazing systems, façade assemblies, and construction means and methods
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial glazing projects including storefronts, curtainwalls, and unitized systems
• Perform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam Studio and PartnerPak Studio
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify scope requirements and risks
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive and accurate proposals
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure alignment on scope and pricing strategies
• Maintain and update historical cost data and estimating databases in TRUE Project Management Software
• Identify value engineering opportunities to improve bid competitiveness while maintaining quality standards
• Assist in bid reviews, turnover meetings, and project handoffs to operations teams
• Manage multiple estimates simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and bid schedules are met
• Support preconstruction efforts and contribute to overall business development and winning bid strategy
Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
