What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Engineering position at Lumicity?
We are looking for a Director of Engineering. This is a chance to architect a brand‑new physical product—not iterate on old ones. You’ll take a vague idea, shape it into a real, manufacturable tool, and guide it all the way to market while working with global partners and a highly collaborative engineering culture.
This role is onsite 4 days per week in Irvine, CA
Must‑have skills
- New product development (NPD) experience is non-negotiable
- 15 years' engineering experience within electrical, mechanical, or firmware
- Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers
- 5 years engineering leadership experience
Bonus skills
- Vacuum pump/motors/compressors experience
- B.S. in Engineer
