What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Metal Sr. Estimator position at Lumicity?
We are looking for a Sr.Estimator focused on architectural metal panel systems (ACM/MCM, insulated metal panels, single-skin panels, plate systems, etc.).
This person would be responsible for reviewing drawings and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, preparing project cost estimates, soliciting and evaluating vendor pricing, and developing competitive bids.
They would also work closely with project managers, general contractors, architects, and manufacturers to ensure the selected systems meet project requirements, budget, and schedule goals.
The role also includes identifying value engineering opportunities, managing multiple bids simultaneously, tracking market pricing and lead times, supporting awarded projects during handoff to operations, and helping mentor junior estimators.
This is a great fit for someone with strong estimating experience, construction knowledge, and the ability to manage complex commercial façade or building envelope projects from preconstruction through award.
