Job Summary:
As a Senior GIS Analyst, you will be responsible for developing, converting, and validating spatial data related to real estate agreements along rail right-of-way. You will work on georeferencing, digitizing, and translating complex documentation into high-quality GIS datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Georeference and digitize real estate agreements into enterprise GIS systems.
- Interpret legal descriptions, maps, and engineering/as-built drawings to create accurate GIS features.
- Perform quality control, spatial validation, and attribute verification.
- Investigate and resolve spatial discrepancies in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Create and maintain metadata, documentation, and data linkages.
- Manage multiple GIS projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Planning, or related field.
- 5 years of hands-on GIS experience.
- Strong expertise in:
- Esri ArcGIS Enterprise (10.x)
- ArcGIS Pro (3.x)
- Experience with geospatial data development, mapping, and data validation.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience working with railroad or right-of-way (ROW) data.
- Background in interpreting legal land descriptions and infrastructure documentation.
