Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data integration solutions across cloud and on-premise environments. This role focuses on building high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines, enabling data-driven insights, and ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency of enterprise data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Ab Initio-based ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing.
• Lead the implementation and optimization of data integration frameworks to ensure performance and reliability.
• Develop and manage data warehouses, data lakes, and distributed data systems. Work with structured and unstructured data, ensuring efficient data ingestion and transformation.
• Build and optimize data access layers and APIs for data consumption.
• Apply data modeling techniques including dimensional modeling, denormalization, and OLAP concepts.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) across multiple data sources.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions.
• Implement best practices for data quality, auditing, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Conduct data analysis and generate insights using statistical techniques. Support ad-hoc data requests, reporting, and analytical needs.
• Continuously improve development practices and stay updated with industry trends.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
• 8 years of experience in ETL/ELT development or related roles.
• 50%-70% hands-on experience with Ab Initio development (MUST HAVE).
• Strong SQL expertise (MUST HAVE).
• Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT scripts and workflows.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling, relational databases, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop or similar frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (Glue, S3, Athena or equivalent tools).
• Strong understanding of data movement, data exchange formats, and distributed systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with large-scale data platforms and cloud-based environments.
• Strong understanding of performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes.
• Experience with modern data architectures and data lakes.
• Prior experience mentoring or guiding junior developers.
• Healthcare domain experience is a plus.
