Service Coordinator

Lum’s Chevrolet GMC is looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Service Coordinator to join our Service Department in McMinnville.

The Service Coordinator is a versatile member of the Service Department who will have scheduled responsibilities throughout the day in different areas of the department. Duties may include greeting and assisting customers in the service drive, driving the customer shuttle, answering inbound service calls, making outbound service calls, and scheduling service appointments. The position is structured around scheduled assignments throughout the day, allowing the Service Coordinator to focus on the assigned responsibility and provide excellent service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a friendly and professional greeter in the service drive during scheduled service drive assignments.
• Welcome customers arriving for service and assist with directing them to the appropriate Service Advisor or department.
• Assist with customer vehicle flow and service drive operations.
• Drive the dealership shuttle as needed and provide safe, courteous transportation for customers.
• Answer inbound service calls during scheduled phone assignments.
• Make outbound service calls to customers regarding service needs, appointments, maintenance reminders, follow-up, and other service-related matters.
• Schedule, confirm, and update customer service appointments.
• Accurately document customer information, appointments, and communications in dealership systems.
• Assist Service Advisors and other Service Department employees with customer needs.
• Communicate effectively with customers and dealership employees.
• Maintain a professional, organized, and customer-friendly environment.
• Follow all dealership safety procedures and driving requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule

This is a full-time, day-shift position. The Service Coordinator will have scheduled assignments throughout the day based on Service Department needs. Responsibilities will rotate between areas such as the service drive, customer shuttle, and service phone and appointment functions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Friendly and professional personality with a genuine interest in helping customers.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable speaking with customers both in person and over the phone.
• Organized and able to transition between different scheduled responsibilities throughout the day.
• Ability to stay focused and productive in a busy Service Department.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to help wherever needed.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn dealership systems.
• Previous customer service, receptionist, call center, automotive, or dealership experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, MVR check, and pre-employment drug screen.
