The Assistant Parts Manager works closely with the Fixed Ops Director to ensure efficient department operations, accurate inventory management, excellent customer service, and strong support for our Service Department. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, professional, and passionate about the automotive industry and helping others succeed.

Responsibilities:
• Assist the Fixed Ops Director with daily department operations and workflow.
• Support, coach, and mentor Parts Department team members.
• Provide exceptional service to retail customers, wholesale customers, technicians, and internal departments.
• Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Answer phone calls, provide pricing and availability information, and assist with customer questions.
• Review estimates to ensure parts accuracy and proper pricing.
• Recommend companion parts, accessories, and dealership specials when appropriate.
• Pull, stage, and deliver parts to technicians while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of critical or low-stock items.
• Locate and order out-of-stock, special-order, and emergency parts when needed.
• Communicate with Service Advisors and technicians regarding parts availability and order status.
• Manage backorders, special orders, returns, warranties, and vendor credits.
• Maintain accurate inventory through organization, replenishment, and cycle counts.
• Ensure retail and internal parts transactions are properly processed and billed.
• Maintain accurate records of repair orders, invoices, special orders, and inventory documentation.
• Assist outside sales representatives with order fulfillment.
• Issue and track requested shop tools for technicians.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient Parts Department.
• Support departmental goals for customer satisfaction, profitability, and operational excellence.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compensation:
Competitive compensation based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills, with opportunities for advancement and performance-based incentives.

Qualifications:Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Automotive parts experience required.
• Previous dealership parts experience preferred.
• GM Parts experience preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Experience with dealership management systems preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
