Primary Purpose:
Provide curriculum leadership and support classroom teaching to campuses to ensure an aligned and articulated instructional program and student success.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master’s degree from accredited university preferred
Valid Texas teaching certificate
T-TESS Appraiser certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
Ability to interpret data and evaluate instruction programs and teaching effectiveness
Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Excel/Google Suite
Proficiency with Eduphoria, including managment of the components (Forethought, Aware, Strive)
Experience:
3 years teaching experience
3 years in leadership roles (instructional coach, assistant principal, principal, data fellow, etc.)
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional and Program Management
- Work cooperatively with supervisors and campus principals in developing and supervising the instructional programs.
- Coordinate the review, development, and revision of all programs and related curriculum documents and materials, including curriculum guides, course outlines, and teaching plans.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of effective research-based instructional strategies that engage all students.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of data analysis strategies using a variety of assessment tools.
- Provide support in analyzing student assessment data.
- Recommend effective instructional adjustments to teachers based on evaluative findings (including student achievement data).
- Analyze assignment results, standardized test results, and other data points in order to target interventions that will ensure the academic success of all students.
- Engage teachers in professional dialogues about their teaching practices.
- Assist teachers in creating materials that are in alignment with curriculum.
- Instruct and support teachers in the implementation of curriculum software products and classroom/curriculum-related technologies.
- Coordinate in advance with the campus principal and director of curriculum and instruction for the purchase of instructional materials/training to meet identified deficiencies. Participate in the development, preparation, and administration of the budget for instructional supplies and equipment.
- Provide assistance in researching instructional and/or curriculum issues.
- Assist with the development of district curriculum, instruction and assessments.
- Maintain a resource library of publications, supplementary materials, and supplies.
Staff Development
- Plan and provide organized individual and/or group learning opportunities for teachers and staff as needed.
- Disseminate information regarding current research, significant developments on the state and national levels, and relevant curriculum and instruction resources and sites.
- Observe classroom instruction and provide feedback and assistance to classroom teachers to facilitate improvement and innovation.
- Demonstrate teaching strategies with students in classroom through model lessons when appropriate.
- Encourage continuous professional growth for all teachers.
Other
- Work positively toward meeting identified district and building improvement goals.
- Complete all required district and campus health and safety training. Adhere to all district and campus health and safety policies and emergency plans.
- Convey information to parent and community members about school programs.
- Manage time and personal schedule in a manner that maximizes teacher instructional support and development.
- Maintain frequent, open lines of communication with campus principals and supervisors regarding classroom observations and teacher development progress.
- Stay abreast of current research, innovative instructional strategies, and relevant state and national instructional developments through personal professional development.
- Provide encouragement and emotional support to teachers.
- Understand that job responsibilities may vary related to each campus’ specific needs.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Salary - Administrative Pay Grade 2: $64,692-$88,740, commensurate with experience
