Landscaper / Landscape Construction Crew Member

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Landscaper with experience in both landscape maintenance and landscape construction to join our growing team in Mid-Michigan. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of hands-on industry experience and a strong work ethic. This role supports both routine property maintenance and installation/construction projects for residential and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities
Landscape Maintenance
• Perform mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and blowing
• Install and maintain plants, shrubs, sod, mulch, and decorative materials
• Operate commercial landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with irrigation system inspections and minor repairs
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
Landscape Construction
• Assist with installation of plant beds, trees, sod, and landscape enhancements
• Install mulch, rock, edging, and landscape fabric
• Assist with hardscape installations including pavers, retaining walls, and walkways
• Support grading, site prep, and drainage solutions
• Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment
• Follow construction plans and supervisor instructions
Qualifications
• 1–3 years of experience in landscape maintenance and/or landscape construction
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required

• Willingness and ability to work On-Call Snow Ploughing Routes during off-season.

• Valid DOT Medical Card - (Cost is $100, this card is yours and is valid for use at future employment opportunities if you leave Luke Landscape Company for any reason.)
• Ability to work outdoors in Mid-Michigan heat, cold and varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor throughout the workday
• Experience operating commercial equipment (mowers, trimmers, compactors, saws, excavators, loaders, etc.)
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of Mid-Michigan plant materials and turf types
• Experience with paver installation and basic hardscape construction
• Basic irrigation knowledge
• Ability to read basic landscape plans
