Responsibilities

• Assist with landscape installation projects, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways.
• Perform routine lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to keep lawns healthy and attractive.
• Maintain landscape features by pruning trees and shrubs, performing tree trimming, and caring for plants to promote growth and safety.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for tasks like digging, edging, aerating, and installing irrigation systems.
• Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access for properties and pathways.
• Conduct general maintenance of equipment including excavators, lawnmowers, trimmers, and other landscaping machinery.
• Follow safety protocols at all times while working with construction equipment or in potentially hazardous environments.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain various landscaping tools and machinery effectively.
• Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power tools including trimmers and blowers.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment like excavators for larger construction or landscape projects.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair to support healthy plant growth.
• Familiarity with tree care techniques including trimming, pruning, and health assessment.
• Understanding of hardscape installation processes such as paving stones or retaining walls.
• Ability to perform snow plowing efficiently during winter months for property safety.
