Concrete Truck Driver & Operator
Reports to: Material Supply Manager
Salary Range: $26 - $32/hour
Full Time
Hourly, Non-Exempt
Purpose
Drive and operate a volumetric concrete truck. Provide a variety of concrete and flowable fill products.
Education and Experience
- Postsecondary non-degree award
- 2 years of continuous driving experience (REQUIRED)
- Concrete industry experience (PREFERRED)
- Heavy Haul Experience (PREFERRED)
- CDL Class B (REQUIRED)
- CDL Class A (PREFERRED)
General Qualifications
- Must have a valid CDL-B license (REQUIRED)
- 2 years continuous driving experience (REQUIRED)
- Class A CDL or experience driving heavy haul (PREFERRED)
- Must be between 21-75 years of age (Over 70 requires an acceptable annual letter of health from a registered doctor or their representative)
- Must download DVIR application on mobile device
- May not have more than five (5) minor violations in the past thirty-six (36) months.
- May not have more than one (1) at-fault accident in the past thirty-six (36) months.
- Required to obtain and carry a current medical certificate
- High School diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation to work
- Experience in the Redi-mix industry, or understanding and knowledge of concrete and concrete testing
- Commitment to performing quality work while putting safety first
- Ability to analyze and problem solve
- Use personal mobile device to send and receive text messages for dispatch
- Providing outstanding customer service without sacrificing quality or safety
Working Conditions
This position could require evenings, nights, and some weekends. This position will be performed mainly outdoors and sometimes in inclement weather and will require meeting safety standards, laws, and regulations.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand, walk, and climb for entirety of shift, and be physically active
