Job Summary
The HRBP, Retail Management, plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s retail workforce by overseeing core human resources functions, including full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations, compliance, and special projects. This role ensures that HR policies and practices are effectively aligned with retail business objectives, fostering a highly engaged and high-performing store workforce.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Staffing
- Lead and execute full-cycle recruitment for retail positions, including baristas, shift supervisors, assistant store managers, and store managers.
- Partner closely with retail operations leadership to assess staffing needs and implement effective recruitment strategies.
- Oversee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a seamless and positive new hire experience.
2. Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for retail employees on HR policies, workplace concerns, and conflict resolution.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant work environment across all retail locations.
- Manage employee disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans in alignment with company policies.
- Provide guidance and support to operations leaders on employee relations matters.
3. Performance Management
- Support the implementation and administration of annual performance review processes for store teams.
- Coach managers on employee engagement, recognition, and retention best practices.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, and productivity.
4. Training & Development
- Coordinate and facilitate training programs for retail employees.
- Ensure store leadership teams are equipped with the necessary HR knowledge and leadership development tools.
5. Compliance & HR Administration
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and internal company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within HR systems, including attendance, payroll updates, and benefits administration.
- Support audits, reporting, and documentation related to HR operations.
6. Strategic HR Support
- Collaborate with HR leadership and retail management to align HR initiatives with broader business goals.
- Provide data-driven insights on workforce trends, staffing challenges, and retention strategies.
- Contribute to special projects, such as new store openings and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably within a retail or multi-location environment.
- Solid knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and retail industry standards.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
