The Financial Systems Intern will support the development, implementation, and administration of the company's financial applications and ERP system. This role offers a hands-on experience in financial systems management and will contribute to projects focused on system upgrades and enhancements. The intern will work closely with the Financial Systems Manager and collaborate with the IT and Finance teams, gaining exposure to both the technical and functional aspects of financial systems.
Essential Functions:
· 40% of Job:
- Assist in the development and administration of financial applications (Adaptive Planning) and modules within the ERP (Dynamics 365).
- Help coordinate software updates and enhancements based on user feedback and technical requirements.
· 20% of Job:
- Support the implementation of internal controls within the financial systems to ensure data integrity and security.
· 20% of Job:
- Participate in projects aimed at automating processes, enhancing data quality, and optimizing reporting functions.
· 15% of Job:
- Collaborate with IT and Finance to assist in developing data models for financial reporting and analysis.
· 5% of Job:
- Engage in training and development activities to enhance technical and soft skills.
Minimum Requirements:
· Education: Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program related to Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field.
· Work Experience: Previous internship or academic experience in technology or finance is a plus, but not required.
· Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Eager to learn and contribute to financial management and system improvements
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and system functionalities
