What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift - Plant Operator position at Luck Companies?
Luck Stone's Pittsboro Plant is seeking an experienced Plant Maintenance Operator to join their team for 2nd shift (1:30-10:30). Our Plant Operators monitor our crushers, conveyors, screens, feeders and bins to maximize production and provide quality products. Since safety is a top priority at Luck, much of your responsibility will focus on ensuring that our equipment and machinery remain in top-notch condition through hands-on maintenance.
- Assist with preventative and reactive maintenance: changing screens, greasing, changing rollers, belt splices, rebuilding crushers, welding and fabrication a bonus
- Consistently inspect and monitor plant to ensure proper operation
- Assists with other site projects as requested
- Prioritizes safety throughout operation for self and others
- Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift
Qualifications:
- Prior experience (1 year) preferred operating and/or performing maintenance in a similar environment
- Mechanically inclined
- Basic computer skills
- Welding a plus
- Must have a team-oriented, positive outlook toward work and accomplishing goals.
Competitive hourly pay (biweekly). The position starts at $24.38 per hour plus shift differential, and could increase upon experience assessment from management. Benefits start on day 1 of employment and include:
