Our client, Melt-to Make, is in search of their Vice President of Sales. Reporting to the President, the VP of Sales is responsible for leading Melt-to Make’s commercial strategy, sales organization, and revenue growth across multiple channels. This role combines strategic leadership, executive customer engagement, and advanced data analytics to drive profitable and sustainable growth. The VP of Sales is a hands-on leader with strong analytical rigor and commercial judgment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Partner with the CEO and President to shape and execute the company’s commercial growth strategy.
· Develop and execute an integrated omni channel sales strategy aligned with brand positioning and customer priorities.
· Own sales P&L levers including revenue, pricing, promo, trade spending, and margin targets.
· Perform customer, product category, SKU, and channel analytics to optimize mix, velocity, distribution, and profitability.
· Build and deepen executive-level relationships with key customers and strategic partners; lead major negotiations and joint business planning.
· Establish and continuously improve sales processes, CRM tools, KPIs, and dashboards to enhance pipeline visibility and forecast accuracy.
· Lead sales operations and S&OP alignment, ensuring tight coordination between demand forecasts, production, and inventory.
· Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and consumer insights, translating analytics into actionable commercial plans.
· Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, R&D, and Operations to align sales forecasting, innovation, demand planning, production capability and profitability.
· Coach and develop sales leaders and teams, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
· 12–15 years of progressive sales leadership experience in CPG or related industries.
· Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and margin improvement across multiple channels.
· Demonstrated strength in people leadership, including building and developing high-performing teams.
· Advanced analytical capability with POS data, CRM systems, and BI/reporting tools.
· Strong financial and business acumen, including pricing, trade spending, margins, and P&L impact.
· Comfortable operating in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
