DIRECTOR, INSTRUMENTATION & ELECTRICAL
The Director of Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) for our client is responsible for leading all aspects of I&E operations and project delivery. This role oversees project execution, financial performance, client development, and operational excellence for I&E initiatives across their I&E service areas. The Director provides strategic leadership, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and partners with executive leadership to drive profitable growth while building strong client relationships.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Provide strategic leadership for I&E operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to client expectations.
· Define and communicate organizational goals, roles, and accountability to project teams to ensure alignment and performance excellence.
· Oversee project planning, budgeting, procurement, scheduling, and execution from concept through closeout.
· Monitor and manage contractual commitments, change orders, and claims while mitigating risks and maximizing profitability.
· Lead client engagement by building and maintaining strong relationships, ensuring clear communication, and positioning as a partner of choice.
· Drive business development efforts in collaboration with leadership, identifying opportunities to expand client`s I&E services.
· Develop financial forecasts and manage regional P&L to achieve revenue and margin goals.
· Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, promoting a strong culture of EHS excellence.
· Direct asset utilization for labor, fleet, tools, and equipment, ensuring efficient allocation across projects.
· Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing I&E teams, providing training, coaching, and succession planning.
· Partner with other business units and corporate functions to align strategies, share resources, and deliver integrated client solutions.
Experience:
· 10 years of progressive leadership experience in I&E project management within the oil and gas or energy industries.
· Extensive background in project scoping, estimating, cost and schedule control, design and construction management, procurement, and resource planning.
· Field experience in the construction and/or supervision of pipelines, compressor and pump stations, production facilities, measurement stations, and related facilities.
· Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
· Familiarity with local government permitting codes related to Electrical Design. Strong understanding of building, NFPA codes and the National Electrical Code.
Education/Training:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field required.
· Advanced education, certifications, or state electrical contractor licenses are preferred.
· Knowledge in Instrumentation and control (I&C) design and installation including SCADA, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) design of control systems, installation of control panels, specifying and installing instruments, development of network architectures, PLC design and installation, and developing of control strategies.
· Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· Regular exposure to project sites, construction environments, and varying weather conditions.
