Role Description
LCHC is seeking a dedicated and motivated Athletic Trainer to join our physical therapy team. This role plays a vital part in supporting the health, safety, and performance of student-athletes and active individuals in our community.
The Athletic Trainer will provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services, as well as coverage for athletic events as needed. This position includes a mix of clinic-based responsibilities and community outreach through local school athletic programs. Athletic trainers specialize in recognizing injury risks, reducing injury rates, and helping athletes safely return to activity following injury.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field
- Current Board of Certification (BOC) certification
- Eligible for or licensed as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Iowa
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred:
- Previous experience working with student-athletes or in a clinical setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible hours to support athletic event coverage
