Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Ranch Hand. As a Ranch Hand, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to farm maintenance, animal care, and general ranch operations. This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with farm operations, including planting, harvesting, and maintaining crops
- Operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of fields and pastures
- Care for and feed animals, including horses and other livestock
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Utilize hand tools and basic math skills for measuring and mixing feed
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for land clearing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of ranch facilities
- Handle animals safely and responsibly, following proper handling protocols
Skills:
- Experience working on a farm or ranch preferred
- Knowledge of equine care and handling is a plus
- Proficiency in operating hand tools commonly used in ranch work
- Basic math skills for measuring feed quantities and mixing ratios
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure the well-being of animals and the maintenance of facilities
