Sr. AWS Cloud Tech lead/Architect

Location Torrance CA onsite 

Job Description: 

Seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Technical Lead/Architect to design, build, and lead AWS cloud-based data platforms. This role focuses on developing data analytics solutions and data hub architectures using AWS services. Candidate should have technical expertise with leadership skills to guide engineering teams and deliver data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, and implementation of data platforms and data hub solutions on AWS


• Design and implement data analytics frameworks, pipelines, and governance models


• Architect end-to-end solutions using AWS services for data ingestion, processing, storage, and visualization


• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and data strategies


• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams


• Ensure best practices in security, performance optimization, cost management, and reliability


• Design and implement different patterns such as real-time, batch data processing


• Establish data governance, data quality, and metadata management standards


• Conduct architecture reviews and ensure compliance with enterprise standards 

Required Skills & Experience

• 18 years of experience in cloud architecture and data engineering


• Strong expertise in designing data lakes, data warehouses, and data hubs in the AWS platform.


• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PySpark, Redshift Stored Proc


• Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration


• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems


• Experience of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation tools 

AWS Services Expertise

Candidates should have hands-on experience with following AWS services

• Data Storage / Lakes: Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, AWS RDS


• Data Processing: AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon EMR


• Streaming & Real-Time: AWS DMS, Amazon Kinesis


• Analytics & Visualization: PowerBI, AWS Athena


• Integration/Orchestration: Amazon Airflow, AWS Step Functions, Amazon EventBridge


• Security & Governance: AWS IAM, AWS CloudTrail


• DevOps: AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK
