Job Title: Senior Specialist - Architecture

 

Work Location- Jersey City, NJ

 

Job Description:

Seeking a Technical Writer with experience documenting application modernization migration and enterprise platforms. The role will work closely with Python Migration Engineers, Java Developers Architects DBAs QA and Operations teams to create and maintain technical operational and user documentation throughout the Perl to Python and Perl to Java transformation journey.

Create and maintain architecture design and migration documentation.

Document legacy to modernization mappings application flows and component designs.

Develop Technical Design Documents TDD High-level Designs HLD and Low-level Designs LLD.

Create installation deployment and configuration guides for Python and Java applications.

Document Airflow workflows Spring Batch Camel orchestration processes APIs and data flows.

Preparing operational runbooks support guides monitoring procedures and troubleshooting manuals.

Develop UAT cutover rollback and decommissioning documentation.

Create knowledge transfer materials for support operations and business users.

Maintain documentation repositories in Confluence SharePoint Git or similar platforms.

Ensure documentation aligns with compliance audit and governance requirements.

Coordinate with development QA DevOps and business teams to keep documentation current.

Required Skills

5 years of technical writing experience in software IT projects.

Strong understanding of application development and modernization projects.

Experience with Confluence SharePoint Visio Drawio and MS Office.

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Exposure to Python Java APIs databases DevOps and cloud platforms.

Experience in Financial Services or enterprise application modernization programs.
