Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Specialist with 7 to 11 years of experience in Application Support specializing in Kafka and IBM MQ with additional skills in Splunk and Dynatrace
Job Description
- Provide expertlevel support and maintenance for Kafka and IBM MQbased applications within the enterprise environment
- Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka and IBM MQ clusters to ensure high availability and optimal performance
- Utilize Splunk and Dynatrace tools for proactive monitoring log analysis and performance tuning
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to implement scalable and reliable application support solutions
- Analyze and resolve complex application issues related to Kafka messaging IBM MQ and data streaming
- Document support processes incident reports and resolution steps to maintain knowledge base accuracy
- Participate in oncall rotations to provide 247 support for critical Kafka and IBM MQ applications
- Continuously improve support workflows and automation to enhance operational efficiency
Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for Kafka and IBM MQ application support incidents and service requests
- Perform root cause analysis and drive problem resolution for Kafka and IBM MQ related issues
- Monitor application health using Splunk dashboards and Dynatrace metrics to detect anomalies early
- Coordinate with cross functional teams to deploy patches upgrades and configuration changes for Kafka and IBM MQ environments
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for Kafka and IBM MQ clusters to meet business demands
- Develop and maintain runbooks standard operating procedures and support documentation
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on Kafka IBM MQ and monitoring tools
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and SLAs for application support services

Salary : $52,190 - $114,263
