What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Bridge Engineer position at LTL Consultants?
LTL Consultants, Ltd., has a full-time job opening in our Oley, PA office for a Senior Bridge Engineer. LTL provides consulting engineering services to numerous municipalities in Berks, Carbon, Chester, and Montgomery Counties.
Essential Duties
- Prepare all aspects of bridge/culvert design projects including: site layout, structural design and preparation of plans and specifications.
- PaDEP and PennDOT permit application preparation.
- Prepare plans using AutoCAD.
- Guide projects through the PennDOT review and approval process.
- Construction observation and inspection.
- Analysis of existing bridges and culverts to determine appropriate rehabilitation measures.
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering.
- PE License in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the bridge design field.
- A strong working knowledge of PennDOT bridge design, analysis and rating software.
- A strong working knowledge of PennDOT bridge design manuals and standards.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills.
Strong emphasis is placed on the ability to effectively communicate technical information, orally and in writing, in a professional manner to contractors, developers, property owners, employees, consultants, other governmental agency representatives, municipal officials and the public.
