Senior Accountant Fridays off!

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Senior Accountant. A successful candidate will play a key role in accounting and tax operations by performing a variety of tasks related to financial reporting, bookkeeping, tax preparation and customer service for our valued clients. We offer a Monday-Thursday work week for most of the year, so that we can spend more time with our children before they become taxpayers. We only work 9 Friday's through tax season out of necessity and value having more time to enjoy Cape Cod summers.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements for clients
• Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions using accounting software QuickBooks, both online and desktop
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and sales tax filing
• Tax preparation and compliance tasks, including gathering supporting documentation and preparing schedules for 1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120 and 1041 tax returns.
• Respond to client inquiries and provide customer service to ensure client satisfaction

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting and tax. CPA or EA preferred
• Proficiency in accounting and tax software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
