Direct Care Worker, PRN Floater Shady Oaks East

LSSI is hiring a Certified Disabilities Aide PRN Floater at the East Shady Oaks location. Responsible for assisting adults with developmental disabilities and providing care in all areas of daily living in a residential setting.

• Shift: hours vary (i.e.on-call, filler, floater, etc).
• Other details: employee will provide availability to scheduler; scheduler will reach out to employee for call-offs, scheduled vacations, etc).

Essential Functions:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Driver and escort clients to outings, appointments, and other places in the community.
• Safely complete client transfers per facility protocol.
• Perform various housekeeping tasks.
• Implement client individual habilitation plans.
• Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check clearance required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to meet extensive physical requirement of the position.
• Demonstrated ability to read and write in English in order to complete required documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
• Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
