About the Role
The HR Administrator is responsible for supporting day-to-day human resources operations and managing the full payroll process. This role ensures accurate employee data management, timely and compliant payroll execution, and adherence to company policies and applicable employment laws. The position serves as key point of contact for employees regarding HR and payroll inquiries while maintaining a high level of accuracy, confidentiality and operational efficiency. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Human Resources and partners across the organization to support employee relations, recruitment, benefits, leave management, compliance and leave management initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS system
- Administer full-cycle payroll, and support and administer multistate payroll processing while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
- Process employee life cycle changes including new hires, terminations, and promotions.
- Prepare HR documentation including employment verification letters and acknowledgements.
- Support HR operations including employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and policy interpretation.
- Administer leave programs, including FMLA, disability and other statutory or company-provided leave policies, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Assist with workers compensation claims from initial reporting through resolution, coordinating with employees, insurance carriers, and healthcare providers.
- Maintain HR records, employee files, and HRIS data with high attention to detail.
- Assist with job descriptions, job title reviews, and organizational changes.
- Act as a resource for employee questions related to policies, benefits and HR programs.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with federal, state and local employment laws.
- Collaborate with HR Executive to implement HR initiatives and best practices.
- Oversee full-cycle of recruitment efforts.
- Support training and development initiatives.
- Partner with leadership to support a positive and compliant workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area.
- 3-5 years of experience in HR administration
- Familiarity with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office and payroll software.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration is required.
- Experience managing employee leave programs.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required.

Pay range and compensation package
The anticipated salary range for this role is $70,000-$80,000.
Compensation decisions are based on job-related factors including experience, education, skills, and internal equity, market considerations in compliance with applicable pay transparency laws.
This position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, prescription drug coverage, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, paid holidays and additional benefits in accordance with company policies.
