Role Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Equipment & Assembly Supervisor to lead high-volume production operations in a fast-paced, aviation-focused environment. This role oversees dishroom and assembly operations, ensuring optimal workflow, equipment readiness, sanitation compliance, and on-time delivery of premium products to our customers.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who excels at motivating teams, maintaining high standards, and driving continuous improvement—all while upholding safety, quality, and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
- Lead all daily operations for the Miami 145 dishroom, with additional oversight of the Assembly department as needed.
- Develop, manage, and execute daily production schedules to ensure accuracy and on-time performance.
- Monitor equipment functionality, preventive maintenance, and safe operating procedures to minimize downtime.
- Maintain strict sanitation standards in compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA, HACCP, and GMP requirements.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment aligned with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Supervisor Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct 45 employees per shift, ensuring proper staffing, productivity, and workflow.
- Conduct daily team meetings to communicate goals, performance updates, and safety expectations.
- Manage labor scheduling, monitor productivity metrics, and control overtime in alignment with budget targets.
- Review and document operational processes to identify efficiency opportunities and implement improvements.
- Guarantee on-time, accurate, and high-quality catering production for all assigned flights.
- Enforce safety protocols and lead initiatives to reduce workplace risks and improve safety culture.
Leadership
- Inspire, coach, and develop team members, modeling company values and leadership expectations.
- Drive productivity and cost efficiency through effective planning and performance management.
- Lead and support company initiatives including Quality Assurance, HACCP compliance, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety, and continuous improvement programs.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience in production, operations, or a related environment.
- Experience in airline catering, dishroom operations, or manufacturing production is highly preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with variable temperatures and operational demands.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams.
- Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time‑management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows-based applications.
- Ability to walk and stand on the production floor for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including morning, mid, and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
