The role, at a glance
This position leads the structural design and technical execution of projects from early concept through construction. You’ll oversee design development, perform analysis, and guide team members while coordinating with other disciplines to deliver well-executed, buildable solutions.
What you’ll do
- Lead structural design and document production across all project phases
- Perform structural analysis and develop calculations to support design decisions
- Guide the preparation of drawings, models, and construction details
- Delegate work to design staff while staying engaged in key technical tasks
- Serve as a technical resource for materials, systems, codes, and design approaches
- Evaluate existing structures and support repair or risk-based design solutions
- Coordinate structural design with architecture, MEP, civil, and external partners
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals to ensure design intent is maintained
- Participate in field observations and support construction-phase coordination
- Maintain organized design files and ensure adherence to Warehaus standards
- Support Project Managers with scope, schedule, and budget alignment as needed
- Mentor team members and contribute to their technical development
What you’ll bring
- Experience leading structural design and analysis across multiple project types
- Strong understanding of building systems, materials, and structural behavior
- Ability to guide and delegate work while maintaining accountability for deliverables
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and external partners
- Familiarity with codes, regulatory requirements, and permitting considerations
- Proficiency in Revit; experience with structural analysis tools preferred
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- EIT or PE preferred (or actively pursuing licensure)
