What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler - Part Time position at LS Solutions?
Role Overview: Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment used to move packages, documents, heavyweight freight, dangerous goods, and ULDs. Assists with pallet buildup and breakdown of heavyweight freight, and acts as a liaison with ULD repair vendors as needed. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills: No formal education or experience required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance and maneuver packages of any weight with appropriate equipment or help. Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, and work in all weather conditions. Capable of maneuvering packages above shoulder and head level, and climbing stairs or ladders if needed. Must complete all required training and communicate effectively in noisy environments.
Conditions & Requirements: Non-safety sensitive position; drug screening required. Valid driver’s license necessary for operating motorized conveyances. Ability to stay alert and work safely at all times.
