Automotive and Diesel Technician

Role Overview: The Senior Automotive and Diesel Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing complex vehicle services according to certification levels and industry standards. They ensure repairs are accurate and completed efficiently, maintaining high customer satisfaction. The technician explains diagnoses and repair needs to customers and team members, recommends necessary services, and documents all work thoroughly.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicles using computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Perform multi-point inspections and repairs, including heavy-duty and complex tasks.
• Communicate technical issues clearly to non-mechanical individuals.
• Follow safety procedures and adhere to company policies and standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of recommended and completed services.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous automotive technician or mechanic experience; ASE certifications preferred.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and computerized equipment.
• Valid driver’s license; technical school experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in varied environmental conditions with appropriate PPE.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift up to 70 pounds, and perform manual tasks.
  
  

Work Environment: Exposure to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and chemicals. Must meet physical demands such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day.
