Your Role:

As a Business Developer – Packaging, you will be the driving force in managing key accounts in the luxury retail and business space, with a strong focus on leveraging your established network and robust client portfolio to create and sustain impactful partnerships. Your expertise in packaging development and understanding of the luxury retail market will be essential in guiding clients through the entire packaging lifecycle — from concept to delivery — while ensuring ongoing, seamless reorders that keep the business flowing.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Client Acquisition

  • Identify and Pursue New Business: Spend your time targeting new luxury retail, cosmetic, fashion clients, focusing on purchasing and procurement departments, using your network and expertise to unlock new business opportunities.
  • Leverage Existing Network: Utilize your robust portfolio of relationships in the targeted markets to gain approval for LR Paris as a trusted vendor, building rapport with purchasing teams and key decision-makers.
  • Tailored Packaging Solutions: Leverage your deep knowledge of luxury packaging trends to collaborate with internal teams to create bespoke proposals that cater specifically to the unique needs of each client’s brand.

Relationship Building & Expansion

  • Cultivate Long-Term Relationships: Dedicate your time to deepening relationships with current clients, ensuring smooth, repeatable reorders and establishing LR Paris as an indispensable packaging partner.
  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and implement strategies to manage and grow key client accounts, from initial concept to regular reorders, ensuring the highest standards of quality and service are met.
  • Internal Networking: Strengthen your network within client organizations by connecting with stakeholders in various departments, including purchasing, design, and marketing, to uncover additional packaging opportunities.

Client Partnership & Satisfaction

  • Packaging as a Brand Experience: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering innovative packaging solutions that align with their luxury brand values, creating a seamless experience for their customers.

Revenue Growth

  • Achieve Revenue Targets: Drive consistent revenue growth within your accounts, targeting $2M in annual revenue, with a focus on building long-term, repeatable business through seamless reorders.
  • Client Feedback: Engage regularly with clients to gather feedback, introducing new packaging solutions that meet their evolving needs and ensuring satisfaction with every order.

Collaboration & Execution

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including design, production, and logistics, to ensure that each packaging project is executed flawlessly, on time, and within budget.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date on packaging trends, procurement processes, and reordering best practices to refine your sales approach and provide innovative solutions for clients.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in packaging sales or account management, with a focus on luxury brands in retail, cosmetics, fashion, and spirit markets.
  • A robust portfolio and network of clients in the luxury space, particularly within purchasing and procurement departments.
  • Expertise in packaging development, including materials, design, and production, with the ability to guide clients through the entire packaging lifecycle.
  • Proven track record of building and managing long-term relationships with high-profile clients and generating repeat business through seamless reorders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver customized, compelling proposals and engage with senior-level decision-makers.
  • Proficiency in sales tools such as CRM systems, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and project management software.
  • Ability to manage complex accounts and build sustainable, profitable relationships with purchasing teams within luxury retail brands.
