- Prepares mise-en-place for kitchen workstations.
- May work kitchen Garde manger station.
- Maintains accurate prep lists.
- Inspects and tastes all of ingredients for quality control.
- Presents excellent food for service.
- Coordinates pick-ups and plating with other cooks and Chefs.
- Communicates with Chefs and other cooks before, during and after service.
- Cleans and sanitizes work area and maintains designated cooler space.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Understanding and experience in restaurant hospitality and fine dining.
- 1-2 years professional kitchen experience.
- Willingness to learn and retain knowledge.
- Good time management and communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.
- Understanding of NYC health department codes.
