Coordinates clinical training program for graduate interns. Responsible for the provision of psychological services to the university community in individual, couples, and group formats.  Assists with data interpretation and executive summary writing related to Student Affairs assessments.  In the absence of the Director supervises all operations in accordance with University Counseling Center policies and procedures.

  • Coordinates clinical training program for graduate interns including providing 1:1 supervision, managing relationships with faculty at providing institutions, and supervising interview process, training curriculum and compliance with internship requirements.
 
  • Provides professional psychological services to students with personal, developmental, and/or educational concerns in the form of individual, couples, or group counseling.
 
  • As appropriate and necessary, coordinates referrals for psychotropic medication evaluations and/or medication refills and ensures continuity of care with professional staff personnel in Student Health Services.
 
  • Provides consultation and in-service training upon request to aid faculty, staff, and administrators.
 
  • Attends and actively participates in regular clinical staff and case conference meetings.   Meets regularly with Director to establish and discuss clinical priorities, budget, personnel/staffing issues, mission, vision, and strategic planning; reviews plans for implementation of such.
 
  • Serves on University committees when requested or assigned.
 
  • Assists with developing student learning outcomes, writing executive summaries of UCC assessments, and reviewing executive summaries of all Student Affairs assessments when requested.
 
  • As scheduled, provides 24-hour emergency on-call service and crisis intervention counseling for students with psychiatric emergencies
 
  • Provides consultation for parents, faculty, staff and other partners regarding students of concern.
 
  • Conducts workshops and outreach services designed to provide mental health-related education to the university community.
Minimum Master's degree in Social Work or Master’s Degree in Counseling.  
Current Louisiana state license (LPC or LCSW).  
Minimum 2 years of experience in a counseling center setting.  
Minimum 1 year of supervising clinical work.  
Outstanding communication, leadership, public speaking, energy to manage a high volume caseload, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with Titanium or similar electronic medical records systems preferred.   
Interest in data collection and analysis for quality assurance and benchmarking purposes.  
Beliefs basically supportive of the principles of Catholic, Jesuit higher education and the specified goals of the University.

Salary : $50,000
