The Medical Assistant u tilizes a defined skill set consistent with the basic educational program, certification, and relevant work experience to deliver direct care to the patient in the ambulatory setting. Working under the direct supervision/licensure of the physician, the Medical Assistant is an integral member of the health care team and is responsible for coordinating the pre/intra/post aspects of the medical visit. Those include direct care, registration & scheduling, physician-patient communication and other office-related tasks. In addition, will administer medication and works directly with other health care professionals at the site as well as ancillary department and services to coordinate care.
This exciting position provides patient care while focusing on the needs of the patient and exemplifying the service excellence goals of care, concern, respect and cooperation. This role provides support to the Loyola Outpatient Center Medical Specialties team on the main Loyola campus, Monday through Friday.

Must obtain at least one (1) of the following Medical Assistant credentials within 6 months of hire date:

Compensation
Pay Range: $20.05 - $28.14 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.

- BLS CPR by the American Heart Association.
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program, OR one year of Medical Assistant work experience can be substituted for the successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program.

- American Medical Technologists (AMT)
