Key Responsibilities
Infection Control Duties
- Manage and oversee the facility’s Infection Prevention & Control Program.
- Conduct infection surveillance, maintain logs, and prepare reports.
- Lead outbreak response and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Provide staff education and competency training on infection control.
- Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, and DOH regulations.
- Update and maintain infection control policies and procedures.
- Coordinate communicable disease reporting, vaccinations, and exposure tracking.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Emergency Preparedness committees.
RN Duties
- Support nursing staff during assigned shifts.
- Conduct rounds to monitor care quality and regulatory compliance.
- Respond to emergencies and resolve clinical concerns quickly.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Ensure adequate staffing and adjust assignments as needed.
- Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
- Collaborate with DON/ADON on performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Pennsylvania (required).
- Infection control experience required; certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong knowledge of CDC, DOH, and CMS infection prevention regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teaching skills.
- Skilled nursing facility experience strongly preferred.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused.
Schedule & Compensation
