What You'll Do
We're looking for a dependable, mechanically minded Drain Technician who takes pride in solving problems and taking care of customers. As a Drain Technician, you'll diagnose clogged and backed-up drain and sewer lines, determine the cause of the issue, and use the right tools and techniques to safely restore flow. Just as importantly, you'll help homeowners understand what's happening with their system, explain what you find in plain language, and recommend appropriate next steps when additional work is needed.

By working closely with dispatch, plumbing technicians, and management, you'll help resolve drain issues efficiently while providing the level of workmanship, communication, and customer care Loyal expects on every call.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Diagnose clogged, slow, and backed-up drain and sewer lines and determine the most effective approach to restore flow
• Operate drain-cleaning equipment, including cable machines and other mechanical drain-clearing tools
• Clear branch lines, mainlines, kitchen drains, bathroom drains, and other residential drain systems
• Verify proper drainage and flow after completing service
• Educate homeowners in plain language on what caused the issue, what was done to correct it, and any recommended next steps
• Protect customers' homes and maintain a clean, professional work area throughout the service call
• Maintain drain-cleaning equipment and keep the company vehicle properly stocked and inventoried
• Complete accurate service documentation and job notes
• Follow company safety procedures and proper equipment practices
• Participate in ongoing training to continue developing drain, sewer, plumbing, and customer-service skills

Skills

• Experience with drain cleaning, sewer service, plumbing, or a related mechanical trade preferred
• Experience using cable machines and other drain-cleaning equipment preferred
• Ability to diagnose drain problems and successfully restore flow
• Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Clean and safe driving record
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• High integrity and professionalism in customers' homes
• Comfortable working independently and making decisions in the field
• Coachable, motivated, and committed to continuous improvement

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
