What are the responsibilities and job description for the Park Assistant - Temporary Assignment position at Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA)?
Job description: LCRA Parks is seeking to hire qualified candidates through a temporary agency. We are looking for candidates with a passion for providing park guests with a high-quality service during their visits to one of our eleven Parks, all located in the Texas Hill Country! This position will engage with park guests to provide a seamless, enjoyable stay from arrival to departure, whether they are there for the day, camping for an extended period of time at one of our RV or camp sites, or simply enjoying one of our many activities such as hiking, kayaking, canoeing, mini-golf and more!
Essential Functions: Assist in greeting customers upon arrival, as well as facilitating check-in for day-use and overnight guests by handling cash and credit card transactions. Provide information on pricing, activities, and other recreational offerings at each Park, including, kayaking, canoeing, trail riding, and more. Responsible for supporting rental of equipment when assigned. Other Park-related duties such as monitoring parks for cleanliness, checking public park facilities, performing light administrative duties, etc. Other duties relating to supporting program-related activities such as summer camp, or program offerings may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements: Exude a passion for the sharing the outdoors with guests. Experience in customer service or people-oriented industry. Must be an enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys working in the outdoors and with people. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license. Employment contingent upon negative results of post offer criminal background check.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
