Screen Reclaimer

Summary/Objective:

Builds printing screens used to reproduce design for graphics. Performs screen stretching, stencil development, screen storage, possible screen washing and repair of damaged screens.

• Know and understand the safety procedures and practices
• Know and understand the emulsions and films used to make a screen.
• Know and understand exposure times and their effect on the screen.
• Know the value of a properly cleaned screen.
• Know how to properly block out a screen.
• Pull screening material over frame and secure edges of screening on anchor pins of screen stretcher.
• Examine and feel screen to determine straightness and tension.

Work Environment

• Atmosphere heated and cooled to production temperature.
• Cement floor with anti-fatigue mats provided for comfort.
• Clean working environment.
• Might be exposed to wet floors and chemical use-proper Personal Protective Equipment must be worn.
  
  
  

Physical Demands

• Required to reach the level 4 physical capacity test post hire.
• Occasional reach across midline, fingering, feeling, stooping or kneeling.
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 63 lbs.
• Frequent walking, change of position, reaching and handling.
• Frequent use of arm and firm grasp

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work.

This is a full time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday eight hours minimum. Additional hours will be required to satisfy customer demands.
