Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanic I (Nights) to join our maintenance team. This role is essential in ensuring the reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems during night shifts. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, along with experience in industrial maintenance, to support continuous production and safety standards. Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems during night shifts.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems using schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic tools.
• Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repairs utilizing precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters.
• Diagnose issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, HVAC/R units, and high-voltage equipment.
• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management.
• Operate scissor lifts and other industrial equipment safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas.
• Follow engineering troubleshooting procedures to ensure effective resolution of complex mechanical or electrical problems.
• Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately for installation or repair projects.
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols related to electrical maintenance, welding (stick welding), hydraulics, and high-voltage systems.
• Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and ensure minimal downtime.

Skills

• Extensive experience in manufacturing facilities with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics.
• Proficiency in using CMMS software for work order management.
• Demonstrated technical sales experience is a plus for understanding customer needs related to equipment performance.
• Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical diagnostics.
• Skilled in welding techniques including stick welding; familiar with schematics for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and engineering diagrams accurately.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical systems (low voltage/high voltage), pneumatic systems, and industrial machinery.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation troubleshooting.
• Competency in using precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters for diagnostics.
• Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently.
• Fluency in English with effective communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration.

Pay: From $24.45 per hour
