About the Role
Lowcountry Urgent Care is hiring Family Nurse Practitioners for our urgent care clinics across South Carolina. We have current openings in the Lowcountry at our Walterboro and Beaufort clinics, along the Grand Strand at our Loris clinic, and in the Pageland area, plus a new clinic coming to Newberry later this year. These are fixed-location roles. Tell us where you are based and which areas work for you, and we will match you to the closest opening.
Pay and Schedule
- $55 to $70 per hour, based on experience and credentials
- Productivity incentives above base pay
- Time-and-a-half for hours worked over 40 per week
- Full-time is 3 shifts per week; part-time and PRN schedules available.
- No on-call
- Rotating weekends with schedules published in advance
- Flexible scheduling through our online platform
What You Will Do
- Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries in a walk-in urgent care setting
- Perform procedures including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, wound care, and DOT physicals
- Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and point-of-care lab studies
- Prescribe medications and educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care
- Complete all documentation same-day in the Experity EMR
- Collaborate with the on-site clinical and administrative team
Qualifications
Required:
- Licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) in South Carolina, or eligible for SC licensure
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- 2 years of urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience
- DOT Medical Examiner certification, or willingness to obtain within 6 weeks of start
Preferred:
- DOT Medical Examiner certification already active
- Comfort working autonomously as the sole provider on-site
