Title: Optometric Technician (Technician) Division: Clinical Reports to: Lead Optometric Technician Pay Type: HourlyThe role of the Optometric Technician is to provide technical support to patients, Optometrist(s) and Optician(s). This includes patient work-up, pretesting, tonometry, and performing the appropriate professional services to patients. As the functional liaison between patient and Optometrist, the Technician is the primary person in charge of informing the OD of any and all imperative information before the patient is examined. Because our mission is to improve people's lives through better vision and eye health, a deep working knowledge of all pretesting equipment is required.
