What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at Low Cost Health Clinics?
We have a Nurse Practitioner position available for our urgent care clinic in Indio. We currently have 5 Urgent Care clinics throughout Orange and Riverside Counties and have been in practice since 2001. F/T or P/T positions available. Being bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
The Nurse Practitioner (NP), under the supervision of Physicians, will practice medicine, will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services, as delegated by a Physician. They will take medical histories, examine and treat patients, order and interpret laboratory tests and make diagnoses. They will also treat minor injuries, by suturing. Other procedures performed at the clinic include Toe Nail Removal, cryoprobe therapy and Minor I&D. NPs will record progress notes, instruct and counsel patients, and order or carry out therapy. Compensation is based on experience. EHR used is eClinicalWorks.
