Lovejoy Community Services seeking an experienced and highly organized Program Manager to oversee our Employment & Skill Building Services. This leadership role supervises Employment & Skill Building Specialists, ensures high-quality program delivery, and supports individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness in achieving greater independence through skill-building and supported employment.
The Program Manager plays a critical role in staff development, program quality, regulatory compliance, and community partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, and support to Employment & Skill Building Specialists.
- Oversee daily program operations, ensuring high-quality skill-building and supported employment services.
- Monitor and ensure timely, accurate documentation, compliance, and Individual Plan of Service (IPOS) implementation.
- Coordinate staffing, schedules, training, and workflow for program employees.
- Lead and participate in Person-Centered Planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local employers, community organizations, and vocational resources.
- Review job placements, job-coaching plans, and consumer progress to ensure success and safety.
- Ensure adherence to all agency policies, Medicaid requirements, and state regulatory standards.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for program staff.
- Track reporting, metrics, and outcomes related to employment and skill-building services.
- Support crisis response, problem-solving, and staff guidance as needed.
- Participate in agency meetings, audits, and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Education, or related field).
- 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness.
- 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of person-centered planning, skill-building, and/or supported employment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and support staff in dynamic work environments.
- Competent with documentation, reporting, and electronic systems.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift 25–35 lbs and support consumers physically if needed.
Certifications (or willingness to obtain):
CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, Crisis Prevention & Intervention.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
