As a home care aide, you'll get to support seniors through medical, emotional, and cognitive challenges to help them thrive in the comfort of their homes.
Benefits & Perks
Lifting: Frequently lift 45 lbs AND regular use of hoyer lift
Client Assistance: Support clients with transfers and repositioning in beds, wheelchairs, special-purpose chairs, etc
Team Lifts: Perform two-person assists for clients who require full support or cannot bear weight.
Mobility Support: Push or pull wheelchairs, occupied beds, or medical equipment across various surfaces (e.g., carpet, tile, ramps), which may require up to 75 lbs of initial force.
Movement & Endurance: Be comfortable with kneeling, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods throughout your shift.

- Hours are Saturday and Sunday, 3p-11p (may have Friday daytime and Saturday/ Sunday Morning Opportunities)

- Have experience workign with children or adults with autism and other physical/ coordination disabilities, such as cerebral palsy
- Live within a 20 minute drive of Claremont (where client resides) and 35 minutes of Whittier.
- Have reliable transportation to travel to client homes.
- Be willing to drive client's wheel chair accessible van
- Have a growth mindset, earger to study, learn, and "figure out" the special ways to conenct with and make your neighbor feel special!

- This job is specifically for a 18 year old adult with severe cerebral palsy and and autism, but who has reasonable intelligence

Job Eligibility Requirements
- Professional caregiving experience: At least 1 year [those with volunteer, family member, or classroom-only caregiving experience are still considered]
- Must be a Registered Home Care Aid (HCA)-- (If not, we'll show you how!)
- Eligibility to work in the US
- Required to have availability to regularly work on Weekends to be eligible for hiring bonus
- Hourly Pay: $22.00-$24.00/hr
- Vacation and Sick Pay available after 90 days of employment
- Health Insurance available after 90 days of employment for employees averaging 30 hours per week
